Refunds

In short, you own Bob’s Stuff straight off the pen: When it’s created, it’s yours.

In the event of a partial refund, you immediately own the work product created plus the difference in labor commodity unspent: words, pages, and all other measured labor purchased upfront.

Work product created + unspent labor commodity = Yours

For specific information regarding refunds and other legalities, see The Writer Client Contract.

Work Product Ownership

The Client owns all finalized, delivered work product. All deliveries will receive a receipt for any of the following:

  • proof of usage license

  • transfer & ownership

  • sourcing info

  • citations

  • instructions

For specific information regarding ownership and other legalities, see The Writer Client Contract.

Images

Mr. Bohemian will license photos for your project with the Included Images extra.

  • The Writer Client Contract guarantees the Client knowledge of sourcing for all images and graphic design work done for their project.

  • It also guarantees that the Client is indemnified from legal issues stemming from the legality of images they receive through The Stuff by Mr. Bohemian.

Mr. Bohemian has already covered the (very annoying) legality and paperwork for you. He deals with multiple artists and stock image websites, so there isn’t a consistent answer for all projects and their privileges. Your delivery receipt will describe all of your unique privileges with the images you purchased, along with information to track down the contributor and the host website.

The following is a non-definitive range of Client privileges useful for most projects:

  • *Distribution and resale, e.g., selling the image as-is — Never

  • Online/Electronic use, e.g., blogging, — Almost always unlimited

  • *Private physical reproduction, e.g., prints, business cards — 200,000–500,000

  • *On-demand prints (for-sale), e.g., coffee mugs, phone case — Never

*If you would like these extended privileges not included, you may track down the artist or website host and purchase your extended license there.

⚠️ Image usage rights are highly contingent on the following:

  1. You can only use the images by using the entire work product Mr. Bohemian gave you: e.g., brochures with imported images alongside Mr. Bohemian’s writing.

  2. You cannot extract the images, as-is, to use for later.

These mainstay third party conditions are set by the host websites and artists, not Mr. Bohemian. If you need to extract an image for extended use, you can use the delivery receipt to follow the image back to its website host to find its terms for the exchange. These exchanges often go by the terms “Extended” use or “Enterprise” use. Note, that these exchanges are often priced at double, triple, or more than the price of the original usage.

SEO is OK

The user may use the images purchased for SEO purposes for only the work product’s live page: e.g., an article can use its included images as a thumbnail for search results, or as a banner for social network posts linking to its live page, whereupon the social network draws up the banner automatically when linking. The user cannot insert these images manually on the social network page as that is extended use through advertising. Advertising is beyond the writing or editing content delivered by the Writer.

For specific information regarding images and other legalities, see The Writer Client Contract.

Logos & Trademarks™

For images provided for official logo and trademark services, Mr. Bohemian particularly makes sure to source properly with these elevated ownership issues. Exclusive image rights, where all usage rights are owned and dictated exclusively by you, will be transferred to you for official trademark registration, such as with the USPTO.

Bob will deliver sourcing information upon the work product delivery.

I.e., fah-getta-’bout-iiiiiiit!

For specific information regarding logos and other legalities, see The Writer Client Contract.

Author Attribution

Mr. Bohemian’s only claim to delivered work is through attribution rights and particular prominent attributions, e.g., short story commercial scriptwriting. Exceptions are delineated in their product descriptions when shopping, or within the Writer Client Contract.

The Writer Client Contract signed by any web processed client guarantees credit for Mr. Bohemian and his directly involved partners.

For more information, see “How do I credit Mr. Bohemian?”

For specific information regarding attribution and other legalities, see The Writer Client Contract.

Commercial Scriptwriting

All commercial scriptwriting sold at The Stuff includes the exclusive transfer of all rights, not just performance rights. The client is not just purchasing a license to use Bob’s script; Bob is transferring the script to them. The requirement of attribution remains, some projects with less prominence than others.

For short stories, short plays, or short films, Mr. Bohemian must be prominently attributed on any playbill, end credits, or anyplace where the directors or other major contributors would be listed for the audience. All other commercial scriptwriting does not need a prominent attribution.

For specific information regarding ownership and other legalities, see The Writer Client Contract.

Bob’s Partners

Bob ❤︎ his partners. They meet Bob’s quality standard while having agreed to all important Stuff features to secure your project, such as transparent, ethical sourcing and meeting the Right Writes™ guarantee for prompt satisfaction.

Because of their optimal performance, Bob’s partners will also require brief credit for their work. Their credit statement is distinct from Bob’s with the same formula. “How do I credit Mr. Bohemian?”
